Music to decrease Inequality at school 2017
Erasmus+ 2017
Participating in a European Erasmus+ Project is quite an experience. Among others, you have the chance to meet colleagues from other countries and cooperate with them in order to achieve the goals of the project. Meeting people is exciting for me. It gives you the chance to exchange ideas, discover foreign cultures and eventually become a citizen of the world.
This is certainly a challenge! You not only give all the best you have but you also have to overcome yourself and make miracles. After having worked in various projects so far, I have to admit that it isn't always easy to find the material needed, motivate the students and eventually form a group of them who are really interested in participating in this unique experience. Working closely with my students, guiding them and travelling with them created a strong bond between us. This relationship along with the newly formed friendships with my colleagues are definitely worth all the great effort.
In this particular programme I enjoyed various music kinds from Italy, Lithuania, Romania, Turkey and Portugal. The students and I discovered the distinctive character of other cultures through the art of music in the form of representative songs.
Participating in the Greek group which presented a compilation of Greek songs in Vibo Valentia, Italy, was an amazing experience for me which filled me with satisfaction and pure joy!
